Dear Mr. Stanton:

I saw on your interest in speaking with experienced front desk receptionists who are looking for a new position. I understand you are ready to hire one to fill the new vacancy at your publishing company. I am currently available for an interview as I just moved to nearby Any Village and am looking for work in this field, similar to what I have done for the past three years as a front desk receptionist at Seaside Enterprises on the East Coast.

My duties included welcoming clients, answering phones, passing out brochures, and announcing visitors over the intercom to employees waiting for their visitors to arrive. I also have experience conducting tours of the facility where I worked and acquainting new people with our company mission and community outreach achievements.

Today I am writing cover letters that I hope will lead to interviews for just such a job. My goal is to win an interview at Any Town Book Publishers. If you are available to meet and are interested in doing so, please call me on my cell phone 888-888-8888 to arrange a time. I look forward to meeting you, and thank you ahead of time for reading my letter and resume, which I have attached.
